There is nothing there, yet, it is still a building

The submissiveness and helplessness, the weakness and the gentleness are the architecture response to the situation of the lack of presence in my idea.

This is the answer to the current situation between the two neighborhoods - east Talpiot and Jabel, and also between the two states.

The answer is that there is no answer, the situation of the emptiness and the absent leed also the architecture to surrender to the pessimistic existence.

so this "nothing" that i am planing is a "nothing" that comes out more of the global political reasons then the urban and local ones.

This "nothing" try to display the spirit of the times and the political tendentiousness of Israel

This spirit of time when Israel having a period of adolescence and understanding that Israel must become smaller and to give up occupied areas of the land.

so the empire having a period of diminution and then the architecture must be minimized

Israel doesn"t need any more glorifying architecture in Jerusalem.

I can appreciate those modern architecture in Jerusalem which were built in no time at all and out of the dominance of the stone, like I can appreciate the Gothic cathedrals and Renaissance palaces, but we have no longer the ethics to produce them becouse we have been cut off from their sources of Inspiration, thanks to the lack of peace and the lack of quietness in Jerusalem.

The only direct stimulus we can get from the past is the understanding of how the social and psychological influences led a particular civilization to arrive at this peculiar expressions.

"power" in Jerusalem evolves naturally from the subjective influences of the social order in whitch people live in Jerusalem.

"power" was and still is the superficail manipulation of architecture languges variations of stones buildings and monuments typologys.

"power" and "ego" is still the main interst of architects to win and architecture competition in Jerusalem but without even thinking about the power-less and the submissiveness period in which we are living.

To try to determine the essential elements of the contemporary life, I can do no better than to turn to an architecture which her aesthetics comes out of her true reasons.

The "verbs" of the submissiveness architecture language will be concrete surfaces that just rising a ilittle bit from the ground and make just a little twist.

Those surfaces can contain an unsensed volumes and spaces.

The surfaces in a modestly way will receive both humans and light.

If people from both sides will come to those surfaces and volumes (sport center) to play all kinds of sports and to become friends , they are welcome!

But if they will not come the building will have become only a minimalist sculpture of signs on the earth and will have an independent life of his own.

This extreme minimalism of signs of broken pieces on the earth is the new foundings of the truth which is hidden and unfelt , secret and unidentified.

This submissive reaction of architecture is the human existense that have been created by the lack of power and leed to an extreme absurd - to hold on or to collapse.
